Facial aesthetics is the most upcoming branch, in the field of medicine. Today beauty is not a matter of concept of celebs; it’s a matter of concern for every person. Man is fighting to achieve and defy the process of aging.

Wrinkles, lines, furrows and depressions on face, this is a process which is accelerated by exposure to sunlight due to injury to the epidermis (the outer layers of skin) caused by short wavelength ultraviolet radiation. The dermis (middle layers of skin) is damaged by longer wavelength ultraviolet radiation, and this is the cause of signs of aging. This is especially a problem for individuals who live sunny climates or countries like ours that is India, or work and play extensively in the outdoors.

Skin photo- type plays a major role, of course, and is dependent on how much melanin pigment is present in the skin. For example, pale or white skin burns much more easily and tends to tan slowly and inadequately. Whereas, darker skin tends to burn less but tan without difficulty. There are genetic influences and environmental factors as well, with smoking hastening the development of facial lines and poor complexion, not to mention the possibility of skin cancer.

Various classifications have been given to grade the process of aging and severe the grade more the treatment varies

Glogau's classification is the standard in how skin changes are classified.

Mild suggests few wrinkles that need modest to no make-up.

Moderate implies the beginning of early wrinkling with a pale complexion requiring some makeup.

Advanced Stage is the onset of unrelenting wrinkling accompanied by skin discoloration and broken blood vessels, and sometimes-precancerous solar keratoses, and often wears makeup.

Severe means wrinkling and deep furrows, solar keratoses, and often wears makeup but is unable to conceal aging skin.

Another method used to determine the degree of wrinkling and facial lines known as the Fitzpatrick alternative classification. Our trained clinicians at Facial Aesthetics will be happy to answer any question you may have with these categories.

  • Class I - Fine wrinkles
  • Class II - Fine-to-moderately deep wrinkles and moderate number of lines
  • Class III - Fine-to-deep wrinkles, numerous wrinkle lines, and redundant folds present

Fine lines and Wrinkles Fine lines and wrinkles occur because the dermis thickens unevenly and the epidermis can no longer hold the amount of water it did in the past. Sun damage and environmental factors are usually the cause for this.

Furrows and Deeper Lines

Furrows or deeper lines are either static or dynamic. Dynamic lines appear with any type of muscle activity. Static lines do not change with muscle movement but in time, dynamic lines will become static. Some examples are crow’s feet that occur around the eyes from smiling and movement of the eyelid muscles, worry lines on the forehead from raising the eyebrows, and frown lines between the eyebrows from concentration or anger.

The skin also loses its elasticity over time and is usually the result of losing fat cells under the skin, the loss of natural collagen and elastin fibers in the skin, and of course, gravity which pulls even further on lax tissue.

WHAT WE TREAT AT MANNA CLINIC & MATERNITY HOME & EYES CARE

Glabellar Lines (FROWN LINES) - are upper facial lines (wrinkles) that appear between the eyebrows. They are often referred to as frown lines as frowning make their appearance more prevalent. Glabellar lines may appear as a single vertical line or as two or more lines and may also appear angled. The muscles of the lower forehead contract in a downward direction causing the skin between the eyebrows to crease. Glabellar lines become more prevalent with age, due in part to the changing elasticity of the skin.

Crows feet -

You can call crow's feet "laugh lines" or "character lines," but these slightly more flattering terms still refer to the same, inevitable sign of aging: the wrinkles that begin to form at the outside corners of your eyes when you hit your mid-twenties. They may show up earlier for people who don't take good care of their skin and later for those who do. But either way, crow's feet are all but unavoidable.

The skin on our faces stretches like a rubber band, thanks to a property called elasticity. This means that it can return to its original form after being pulled or compressed -- pretty important when you think about how much we move our faces. Unfortunately, as we get older, our skin loses its elasticity. That's why we form wrinkles and certain parts of our body start to droop. One of the main reasons for this is that our bodies' production of collagen and elastin, two proteins responsible for our skin's elasticity, lessens with age. One way to avoid crow's feet would be to never smile, laugh, frown or squint. Since that seems next to impossible, so we at MANNA CLINIC & MATERNITY HOME & EYES CARE provide you a one stop solution to get you free of these wrinkles with a combination of various treatments.

Tear troughs-

As you age the hollow between the eye area and the upper cheek can deepen, creating a tired look. The tear trough can be softened with fillers. It is a subtle treatment but one that makes all the difference.

Under eye depressions and hollow-

Similar to other medical conditions of the human body the sunken area under the eyes is a multifactorial condition. An individual’s anatomy and build is one factor. Aging, drop of the cheek mass, and fluctuation in weight are other factors. Chronic rubbing and irritant chemicals can render the area darker. The lack of fullness over the bony frame of the eye results in the relative depression. Just like a frame points out an entity, the so called depressed dark circles can make one look tired and a lot older than the individual actually is. Restoring the fullness seems to be the most direct and rational route. A filling material composed of naturally occurring chemicals in the human body would be ideal. The minimally invasive procedure of injecting filler in a sculpting manner has all the desired properties to plump the hollow area under the eye so that the contour of the face looks fuller and younger

Cheek Augmentation - As the age advances the due to the effect of gravity our face tends to sag down , the cheeks are the ones which once loose there volume show the sagging most , cheek augmentation is a simple procedure to lift your cheeks and bring back the contour and volume of the same , we at MANNA CLINIC & MATERNITY HOME & EYES CARE help you to regain that confidence once the younger look is back on your face

Commissure lines-

The area at the corner of the mouth where the upper lip meets the lower lip is called the oral commissure. The oral commissures usually experience a gradual depression over time. In many individuals, the depression contributes to the formation of wrinkles and lines, as well as contributing to a more angry or stern appearance. Oral commissure lines may extend downward from the corners of the mouth, giving an individual an unnatural puppet type appearance. In other instances, oral commissure lines may fan out from the corner of the mouth. Oral commissure lines are almost always treated with advanced dermal fillers. If the oral commissures have developed into deeper folds, the area may be treated with bulking filler. These fillers help push up and buttress the folds. Dermal fillers placed in other areas of the face (the upper cheeks for instance) may also give a subtle lift to the oral commissure area, which will help alleviate some of the oral commissure lines. In some instances, Botulinum toxin is also used to help alleviate oral commissure lines. Botulinum toxin, injected properly, provides a subtle enhancement in the appearance of oral commissure lines and lip positioning (see Lip Contouring). Placement of Botulinum toxin for oral commissure correction varies from patient to patient, depending upon a patient’s particular characteristics. Botulinum toxin may be placed in the depressor anguli oris muscle (which extends from the chin to around the corners of the mouth) to help lift the corners of the mouth. This alleviates some of the oral commissure depression. Botulinum toxin may in some instances be placed in the origin of the mentalis (chin) muscle for those who express themselves with excessive chin movement. This may help relax some of the lines around the mouth and chin.

Nasolabial folds-

Nasolabial folds (also referred to as nasal lines/folds, nose to mouth lines) are facial lines that begin roughly at the outer corners of the nose, extending diagonally to the outer corners of the mouth. Their appearance is associated with smiling. In contrast to other, more superficial facial lines nasolabial folds are characterised by a deeper, more pronounced indent, which in certain cases may result in the appearance of a fold between cheek and nose to mouth areas.

Facial Contouring-

Face is the mirror of a female , this is a well known fact. In this world of stress the fine lines start appearing very early in age , facial contouring helps you to get rid of those fine lines with a non surgical approach , though its temporary but its worth it As with other facial lines and wrinkles nasolabial folds become more prevalent with age, due in part to the changing volumes and elasticity of the skin. So we at MANNA CLINIC & MATERNITY HOME & EYES CARE treat these and make you free of these age related folds and depressions

Lip Augmentation/Lip Enhancement-

Our lip enhancement treatments are safe, subtle long-lasting and enhance your natural beauty. They are semi-permanent and biodegradable. We aim to achieve a truly natural look, a fresh and rejuvenating one that is subtle but gives you added confidence. We would always recommend a cautious approach; remember that you can build on the effect with subsequent top-up treatments. There are, like most treatments a choice of products and we at MANNA CLINIC & MATERNITY HOME & EYES CARE will discuss with you the most appropriate for you and for the look that you wish to achieve. The Dermal fillers we most commonly use for Lip enhancements are safe and are used in all ages

Platysma bands (Neck folds)-

Platysma bands are the bands in the area around the neck , usually these bands are vertival but complex bands are which are not only vertical but also circular, they are formed like a muflar around the neck

Hyperhidrosis

Sweating - excessive; Perspiration - excessive; Diaphoresis

Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition in which a person sweats excessively and unpredictably. People with hyperhidrosis may sweat even when the temperature is cool or when they are at rest.

However, excessive sweating occurs without such triggers. Those with hyperhidrosis appear to have overactive sweat glands. The uncontrollable sweating can lead to significant discomfort, both physical and emotional along with social.

When excessive sweating affects the hands, feet, and armpits, it's called primary or focal hyperhidrosis. Primary hyperhidrosis affects 2 - 3% of the population, yet less than 40% of patients with this condition seek medical advice. In the majority of primary hyperhidrosis cases, no cause can be found. It seems to run in families.

If the sweating occurs as a result of another medical condition, it is called secondary hyperhidrosis. The sweating may be all over the body, or it may be in one area. We at MANNA CLINIC & MATERNITY HOME & EYES CARE examine analyze and then give a tailor made treatment to prevent excessive sweating , we not only treat your arm pits to prevent that excessive sweating but also your feet if you feel they are foul smelling and cannot tolerate the social stigma of sweating. Usually the treatment lasts for a season.

Fillers-

Dermal fillers revitalize and rejuvenate the skin – they are clear gels which add volume when injected in small quantities. They can be used in a number of different areas, most commonly the face including the lips but also the backs of the hands, the neck and the décolletage. There is little downtime, the results are instant and relatively long lasting – but not permanent.

Non-surgical face lifts & Y lifts

We can restore volume loss and sculpt the face and cheeks as well as hydrating the skin.

As we age the face loses volume, causing us to perceive our face as sagging or drooping. A simple way of restoring this lost volume is with the use of dermal fillers or collagen-stimulating products.

When the skin's elasticity declines dramatically, the effects of gravity become all too evident. Gravity causes the tip of the nose to droop, the ears to elongate, the eyelids to fall, jowls to form, and the upper lip to disappear while the lower lip becomes more pronounced. We can restore Volume loss and sculpt the face and cheeks as well as Hydrating the skin.

Non-surgical procedures are a means of improving facial appearance by restoring the three-dimensional contour of the face without the need for surgery. The cheeks nasolabial lines and marionette lines can be treated to generate a lifting effect, a look that is instantly rejuvenating, attractive and natural in appearance, this is also known as The Y-Lift.

The Y-Lift is a procedure designed to enhance the normal contour of the cheek and produce a non-surgical lift of the mid-face. The Y-Lift is achieved by using dermal fillers, this has immediate results and very little down time. This technique works best in the 40-65 year-old age group.
